Back to the classic
Today we will come back one more time to the iconic espresso. We've already known some variations about this particular coffee, but there is still some more. Let's start!
RED EYE, BLACK EYE, DEAD EYE
The names don't sound like names of coffee, but more like names of pirates' ships. But these are coffees beverages for those for who an espresso is not enough when it comes to the dose of caffeine - more precisely these are the combinations of espresso with a brewed coffee in different proportions.
the red eye = 1 x espresso + 1 dose of coffee
the black eye = 2 x espresso + 1 dose of coffee
the dead eye = 3 x espresso + 1 dose of coffee
ESPRESSO CON PANNA
This type is very similar to the espresso macchiato, but in this case, instead of milk foam, we add the whipped cream.
ESPRESSO WITH TONIC WATER
This is the perfect coffee for summer days because it is refreshing and besides it just looks really cool. Just look at the photo. It is usually prepared with ice cubes and the order of pouring things in the glass is crucial to maintain the layers.
ESPRESSO WITH BUTTER
It is a novelty, but it became very popular because of the belief that the teaspoon of unsalted butter added to coffee is reducing the appetite. Feel free to check this, but to me, it just sounds gross.
AFFOGATO
And finally, not to end with the butter-coffee combination, something tasty and delicious - an espresso with a scoop of ice creams.
