Ice Ice Baby

Our next star is coffee affogato which is not really a coffee beverage, but a coffee-based desert. Maybe the weather outside doesn't invite us to eat deserts with ice creams, but this one worth to be written on our must-try-in-the-summer list.

The recipe is simple. You have to put one or two scoops of ice cream (vanilla or cream flavors are recommended) in a small cup and just pour one espresso into it. The bitter taste of coffee with sweet ice cream is the perfect combination. Moreover, you customize your affogato coffee and add sauces or sprinkles to make the desert more savory.

In the end, one word about the etymology of the name of affogato desert. It comes from Italian which is not a surprise. It means drowned and one more time it is not shocking, because it perfectly fits in the Italian way of giving names to their beverages.

May your coffee taste great!
