Thời gian cà phê!

Recently, we were talking about coffee beverages that don't sound strange - a coffee with condensed milk or marshmallow seem to be tasty and sweet. That is why today I want to present you a coffee that might not encourage you to taste it right away! Ladies and gentlemen, an egg coffee!

When I first heard it, I imagined a shot of espresso with a boiled egg in it and that idea seemed really gross to me. But fortunately, an egg coffee is something more digestible. This specific type of coffee comes from Vietnam and it doesn't require the use of milk. Legend says that it was invented in 1946 by a bartender working in one of the hotels in Hanoi when the milk was short in supply and he decided to replace it with an egg.

But what is it? It is a coffee prepared with egg yolks, sugar, condensed milk and robusta coffee. Sounds quite easy? Because it is. You do not need any professional equipment to prepare it. You just have to whisk egg yolk with sugar while healing it so it creates a fluffy mousse. Then, add a teaspoon of coffee to the mixture and mix it. Finally, pour the brewed coffee into the coffee cup (transparent is recommended for the visual aspects) and put the fluffy cream on the top of it.
In some recipes the sugar is replaced with the condensed milk, so feel free to experiment!

May your coffee taste great!
